Employment Support- "Connections-to-Success"

Living Lord helps support the efforts of Connections-to-Success.  In the past few years, this support has been
provided through donations of interview-appropriate clothing, shoes, etc., business-owner speakers, monetary donations, Sweet Success Cookie Drives, volunteering time at HQ in St. Charles, and mentoring.  The mission of Connections (which includes Dress for Success) is to inspire individuals to realize their dreams and achieve economic independence by providing hope, resources, and a plan.

MOPS- "Mothers of Preschoolers"

gradient logoA key component to Living Lord Lutheran Church is facilitating young families and their children. Living Lord's MOPS ministry serves mothers of young children specifically children from birth to kindergarten. Living Lord is fully aware that mothers can be any age and therefore we operate two MOPS groups within our church: Teen MOPS serves young moms under the age of 21 and Classic MOPS serves moms over the age of 21. Mothering is a challenging job and every mother should have support and love as they nurture and raise their young children!

Living Lord offers a variety of education-based groups that help us grow deeper in relationships and in our faith. These groups exist in various forms and meet at all times throughout the week. There are all kinds of groups are designed to meet the needs of parents, men, women, couples, and young professionals. We invite all disciples to search for the group that best fits your needs, or we can work with you to develop your own group.

Each Sunday we have a number of adult learning opportunities during the Sunday School Hour from 9:45 to 10:45.  A few of these are:

              - Pastor's Forum led by Pastor Jim in the Adult Education Room (behind the kitchen)

              - Power Hour led by Debbie Schroeder-Saulnier in Room 4

              - Parents at the Crosswalk which is an open forum for those with children in Sunday school and is in Room 14/16

Living Lord challenges the men in our community to develop their faith, connect with one another, and become godly influences in their family, workplace, church, and community. Our men share their faith and talents with one another and the congregation in a variety of ways including study groups and the famous Fish Fry to kick off our Lenten season.

Women's ministry is dedicated to the spiritual, mental, and physical well being of all women in the congregation. Opportunities include weekly small groups, Bible study, mission outreach, and women's retreats.

Being a part of a congregation is not just about worshiping together on Sunday mornings. We truly believe it is important for our members to be connected and involved in each other's lives. We offer a variety of programs that connect members over dinner or at social outings to lift up one another in their faith and in their lives.
