23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Imagine that the Holy Spirit which justifies and sanctifies you is like an indestructible and beautiful tree. The illness and distress of this earthly life cannot touch that perfect tree. It will not get bitten by insects, get fungal blight or get burned in a climate catastrophe. It will, instead, withstand everything because its seed is perfectly strong. Although this dimension is full of loss, without fail, that spiritual tree within can carry on eternally. This “tree” is the essence of your salvation and has nothing to do with your works but everything to do with Him. Only by grace through faith.
