Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.

Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.

Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.

For whoever finds me, finds life and receives favor from the Lord.

But whoever fails to find me harms himself, all who hate me loves death.

 

The author of Proverbs 8 talks about Wisdom personified as a woman (interesting, just saying). The whole chapter focuses on the benefits of being wise and keeping the instructions given by God. Being committed to God and being in a relationship with Him. The importance of following God leads to a blessed life and favor with Him.

On the other hand, people that don’t follow God’s ways harms themselves. Leave foolish ideas, walk in the way of understanding and reap the benefits of being in God’s favor. If you want to know the difference between Wisdom and Stupidity, read Proverbs chapter 9. It will give you more incite.

Heavenly Father, thank you for always being there for us and showing us the Wisdom to follow you. Amen
