Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

I love this scripture in Hebrews. It is both prayer and promise. It reminds us that the “God of peace” is not distant, but active … bringing back from the dead our Lord Jesus. The same power that raised Christ is now at work for us and within us. And this Shepherd does not merely guide from afar; He gathers, protects, and restores His flock, leading us in paths that bring life and peace.

Often, I need to remind myself we are not left to shape our lives on our own or to muster up enough strength to do His will. Instead, God works within us, forming what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ. Our growth, our faithfulness, even our desire to follow Him are gifts of His grace.

Dear Lord, thank you for leading us; for helping us when we have those anxious moments; for reminding us we are enough; for leading us in peace and holding us in Your everlasting care. Amen
