24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.
This letter, written by Jude, the brother of James and half-brother of Jesus, ends with these two verses of prayer and praise. He is encouraging us to remain firm in our faith and trust in God’s promises for our future!
The book of Jude is full of warnings of the dangers that surround us. There are many false teachers, and temptations waiting to destroy your Christ-centered life, and the credibility of God’s word! It amazes me how these words stand true nowadays! Our world is full of confusion! We must stand firm in our faith and defend God’s truth!
This reminds me of a time in my life experiencing grief through the tragic loss of my husband. Looking back made me sad, looking forward was confusing, isolating, and scary, but looking down I would stumble, and what helped me through it all was looking up to God! And the prayer and promises in the verses above. Amen.
