A hymn of praise and thanksgiving by David

You show your care for the land by sending rain: You make it rich and fertile. You fill the streams with water; You provide the earth with crops. This is how You do it:

You send abundant rain on the plowed fields and soak them with water; You soften the soil with showers and cause the young plants to grow.

What a rich harvest your goodness provides! Wherever You go there is plenty.

The pastures are filled with flocks; the hillsides are full of joy.

The fields are covered with sheep; the valleys are full of wheat. Everything shouts and sings for joy.

 

When God created the earth and everything in it, He was very pleased and said “it is good” Everything created thousands of years ago, still stand today. The mountains, the oceans, rivers, sun, moon, stars, outer space. Living things in sea and on land (except for dinosaurs) plants reseed and continue to grow. The seasons give variety to the land. God provides for all our needs and continues to sustain life. His love for us is evident in everything around us. We can trust Him with all our needs.

Reflect on how God has provided for you in your life. Have a heart of gratitude for everyday blessings we receive. Be good stewards of the earth and be mindful of our environment.

 

Heavenly Father, Thank you for all the things you do for us every day. Help us take better care of the world around us. In Jesus name, Amen
