65 Do good to your servant according to your word, LORD. 66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands. 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word. 68 You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees. 69 Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart. 70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law. 71 It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. 72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
The Psalms are a great teaching tool. Every time I read one I come away with a life lesson that helps me in my everyday life. These seven verses cause me to reaffirm my faith. God is good, He leads me realize that if I follow him, I grow. It also causes me to reflect when I don’t pray and seek his council, I am on a fool’s errand for I can be led astray. Even when I face hardship he is with me to guide me on a correct path. So, as I grow my life becomes more meaningful because God will always lead us to him.
Let’s us pray: Father, Thank you for our lives and your love. Thank you for always helping us to see good and prosper in your ways. Help to help others see you so they can grow their lives. Amen
