Step back in time; Explore St Charles with a scenic walking tour & picnic.

Did you ever want to learn more about the early years of our county? Join us for a family-friendly docent led "Hit the Bricks" one-hour historical walking tour of Missouri's first capital city - St. Charles. We will learn of the explorers, pioneers and traders who helped open The Key to the West, while touring the 400-900 blocks of South Main.

This event is sponsored by the Interest Group Steering Committee on Saturday, September 7th, starting at 10:30. Carpooling and limited church transportation will be available.

The tour will be followed by a Bring-Your-Own Picnic Lunch at Shelter #2 in Frontier Park on the riverfront. The tour can accommodate up to 40 people, at a cost of $7/person. Children 10 and under are free with a paying adult.

After the picnic lunch there is an option for you to tour the nearby Lewis & Clark Boat House & Museum, which displays replica boats used during the Lewis & Clark expedition, and a replica 1804 campsite, along with other displays and a video. RSVP to reserve your spot at: interestgroups@livinglord.org, or sign up in the church Gathering Space by August 30th.

More information will follow for those joining us for this fun-filled day.
