We Build Family. Come Be a Part.

We structure ministries that communicate God’s love in a way that is appropriate to each age group. Children are a gift from God and have an important and vital place in our ministry. We are committed to strengthening inter-generational relationships of children, parents, and grandparents.

We Dwell in the Bible

"Remove Christ from the Scriptures and there is nothing left."

- Martin Luther.

God’s Word is our foundation, practical and faithful in addressing everyday issues, life-changing in its power and content. It’s the one place where we meet Jesus, and it is through this Word, Jesus is made known to us.

We commit ourselves to sharing the gospel message that God has acted on our behalf through Jesus Christ, the “good news of God”, and that through the Holy Spirit we can experience a life-transforming relationship with God.

We are Called to Serve.

"Everything that is done in the world is done by hope."

- Martin Luther.

We commit ourselves to passionately sharing the love of Christ in relevant and engaging ways with those not yet connected to Jesus or the church. Because people outside the church matter to God, we make them a priority of our mission. We continually seek to create an inviting climate of warmth and hospitality that welcomes all to come and hear about Jesus at their own pace.

As we give of ourselves in service in Christ’s name, our own lives take on fuller and deeper meaning and value. We seek to become a community that will serve as Jesus served. Service ministry opportunities are both local and abroad with God’s people participating in those ministries in which they respond to God’s call.

Here are some quick answers to common questions.

We are located at 500 Cedar Circle Drive in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, overlooking I-64.  The easiest way to get to us is off of Civic Center Drive on the north side of I-64.  Turn into the Cedar Lakes Apartment complex (Cedar Ridge Drive). At the stop sign, turn right, and we will be on the right side of the road.

We offer three worship services in person.  We gather on Saturdays at 5:00pm and Sundays at both 8:00 am and 10:30am.

If you are coming to worship, we recommend parking on the upper lot and coming in the front entrance to the building. If you are needing to come to the church office, the preschool, or for a meeting, we recommend parking on the lower lot and coming in the lower entrance.

Congratulation on your engagement and upcoming wedding!

Living Lord Lutheran Church is the spiritual center for many people from many walks of life. This includes people who are preparing for marriage or who have recently married.

Our congregation has served hundreds of couples throughout the marriage preparation process with our pastors, the coordination of the wedding day, and Christian discipleship as a married couple. As a result, many families have had their wedding at Living Lord and are now raising their families in our faith community.

We would love to talk with you and see if a wedding at Living Lord is a good match for your Christian discipleship. So please give our office a call to discuss the possibility of a wedding at Living Lord.

With a splash of water, the faith community celebrates God’s gift of baptism. Baptism at Living Lord is for folks of all ages-- the smallest of babies, children and teenagers, and adults who have yet to be baptized.

Living Lord understands baptism not as an individual “guarantee” of salvation (though it relates to eternally tying us to God). Instead, it’s viewed as a sign of grace and faith within a worshiping community – where one belongs and regularly participates.

Baptisms are celebrated on different Sundays throughout the year at morning services (8 and 10:30 a.m.). Baptisms can also occur on several 5 p.m. Saturday evening services.

As a member of the ELCA, our services tend to follow the liturgy.  Each service does have its own feel with a variety of music options to suit most people's tastes. We do celebrate communion together at all of our weekend worship services.

Everyone is welcome!  We invite all baptized members of the Body of Christ to celebrate with us weekly around the Table.

Yes you can!  We have a devoted group of people who take communion to homes each week, and we would love to add you to those who are receiving communion at home.

When someone dies, the church shares the grief of those who mourn. In a funeral or a memorial service, we give voice to our sorry, thank God for our loved one, and entrust this person to the care and keeping of God.

In a funeral service, we celebrate the value of the life that God has given us and reaffirm our trust in God’s promise received in baptism: we are claimed by Christ forever. Scripture, prayers, songs, and words express the hopes and fears of grieving hearts.

Living Lord often is called upon to host visitations and funeral arrangements. To arrange a funeral, please contact the church office for more information. Those who are an active part of our faith community may wish to consider making advance arrangements for a memorial or funeral service with a thoughtful selection of hymns and scripture. Contact a pastor to express your wishes.
